Team Eighteen again for the second year running creates headlines and talk regarding their 2020 entry list, this year with the addition of Scott Pye and major sponsor DeWalt Racing.
2019 saw Team Eighteen rebranded into IRWIN Racing with a huge addition to the racing arsenal with former Supercars Champion and Bathurst winner Mark Winterbottom moving over to the Holden camp after a career entirely of blue.
After three years of being a customer car at other teams, Schwerkolt put together his team with a Triple Eight-built car, championship-winning team manager Jeff Grech and Holdsworth for 2018.
The team’s progress was brought to a standstill in Darwin, with Holdsworth sidelined after a massive accident at Hidden Valley which forced the team to borrow a car from Dunlop Series team Kosteki Racing while a new chassis was built.
Holdsworth returned for the Sandown 500 and the team recorded its best result at the Gold Coast with Holdsworth and Karl Reindler finishing seventh.
Team Owner: Charlie Schwerkolt
Team Manager: Steve Hendersen
